2014 KBJD SHOW has changed the convention Hotel location to Westin Los Angeles Airport due to many collectors who live in out of state of California interested in our KBJD Show. The original Line Hotel is a good hotel but Line Hotel is a boutique hotel which couldn't accommodate our convention size anymore. So we would like to ask apologies for everyone and we would like to introduce the new hotel location with many benefits.

Peak's Woods event: Sleeping Cue Limited Edition

A sneak peek of Peak's Woods limited edition Sleeping Cue has been posted on the index page--and she goes on sale December 16.

Don't forget about the current special--get a free FOF head with any FOF doll, through December 15 only. Then, starting on December 16 through the end of the month, when you purchase a full FOC doll, you can get a free FOC head (Lavin, Lottie, Sky, Cue, Mintie or Shaia) with your order.

And wow--I've just noticed there has been a price drop in the FOC dolls--from $580 to $550. (The prices were usually listed at $550 with a 10% discount, but this discount has now become permanent.) Additionally, make-up for the AB dolls has been lowered from $70 to $60 as well.

2. FOC Event - December 16-31 - With the purchase of any Fairy of Color doll, you can receive a free head (choose between Lavin, Lottie, Sky, Cue, Mintie or Shaia, in the same skin tone as the doll you choose, no makeup included). You can order an additional body for $440, and add makeup at an additional charge.

4. FOC Sleeping Cue is for sale - Basic version will be available after December 16, and a limited edition will be available between December 16-31, with limited edition makeup and an optional outfit (early closing is possible due to sell-out).
5. Facebook Message Drawing - Visit Peak's Woods Facebook page, and leave them a message about what you'd like to see from their company next year. It can be about the dolls you'd like to see or events you'd like to see. One random winner will be drawn to receive a free FOF doll with no makeup.

As always lay away is available for these events. I highly recommend Peak's Woods for their amazing dolls and awesome customer service!

Just an idea--with the FOC special... you could order limited edition Sleeping Cue, and then get a free Cue open-eye head for her. What a great special! 

I think I will have to take advantage of both the FOF and the FOC events this year--there are at least two FOF cuties I have my eye on: Dorothy Young and Sir Tin. This would be the perfect time to update my FOC collection, too--I'm missing my Mintie and Cue! Maybe Vampire Goldie with an extra Mintie head? But I already have Sleeping Cue, and could totally use an open-eye Cue for her, as well. Hmmm..... And yay for new bodies!

It will be held at the Holiday Inn Atlanta Perimeter in Atlanta, GA. Room rates are $79 per night, with up to four people in the room, and this rate includes breakfast.

Tickets for the convention are just $30 when you purchase them now through June. Rates go up to $35 when purchased July through September. At the door, tickets are still only $40.

Volks Dolpa 28 begins May 18!

Now that I've seen how well Volks outfits fit the Iplehouse nYid large bust body, I've been stalking their website. I've discovered the latest Dolpa release is scheduled May 18, beginning at 11 AM PST. You can either go to the LA store and start lining up at 10:30 am to receive your lottery number, or go online.

You're limited to one of each item per customer, and you can read the rules here. Plus, you can see a preview of the items here. Some of the items I adore are:

The New Year's Event has been announced by Peak's Woods, and it is indeed a resculpted Wake-Up Lottie. Her eyes have been enlarged and widened.

For a limited time - from January 4 through January 14 - you will be able to receive free shipping on this lovely doll.

This doll will be for sale for one month - her head alone, on a Fairy of Color body or a Absolute Beauty body, blank or with two face-up options - Red Shadow (above) or Blue Clown.

Wake-Up Lottie is the first in the "Redesigned Fairies" Line of 2013. I can't wait!

Doll in Mind Bellose - on my wish list

All right--I confess, I have had several Doll in Mind dolls on my mind and my wish list forEVER. And there is a great Christmas event going on right now. Check it out:

Kassia from DiM.

1. Buy any complete doll, and get a free head (company choice) of the same size. The heads are chosen randomly.
2. Love male & female body event: For $250, you can buy a complete, unassembled Love body (male or female), and the Happy body is just $170. The package includes elastic strings and S-hooks, but no box.

Great deals! They last through December 31, 2012. Also--Denver Doll Emporium is a DIM dealer. They are at least offering the free head event.

My problem: I can't decide which of these girls I like the most! I adore three of the large Love girls: Bellose, Kassia and Leonora. Bellose seems sad and a bit droopy. I love that. Kassia seems the most wicked of the three, depending on how you set her eyes. Leonora has the largest lips and eyes of the three, and the most baby-ish face--plus her upper lip sticks out.

If that's not enough, I could possibly use a smaller size--since I'm running out of room in my cabinet. A Happy girl might bit in my collection a bit better. I really love Luria's pouty face.

Flowne has also been on my mind for ever--since those three fairy dolls have come and gone. All three are now available as non-fairy sculpts as well (Morning Dew and Fantasia), but I love Flowne's drooping ears.

Benetia is one of those girls that has always been on my wish list, and she just has never gotten home to me. I always mark her as a favorite on Flickr, and I think--well, I think she may be it. She's a mini vampire. There is also a half-closed eye head for her, which I would love to have.

Kickstarter event update from the Meet Me In St. Louis BJD Convention

We're so excited to be hosting the first annual St. Louis BJD Convention on November 17th, 2012! To raise funds for this event, we've launched a Kickstarter here:http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jenrpa/st-louis-bjd-convention

Our convention is centrally located in the Gateway to the West. We have three amazing guests:

We have a whole day of programming planned, plus a dealer's room, contests, workshops, discussion panels, and food. Your registration covers meals including the Awards Banquet with our guests. We are also planning a happy hour event on Friday the 16th at our official hotel, and a meet on Sunday to show off some of the awesome locations in the St. Louis area.

Kickstarter is a pledge drive where you pledge at any level that you choose. Minimum donation pledge is $1 but there are lots of levels and each is associated with a special gift created by our committee for our supporters. Even if you can't come to the convention, you can help support our efforts with your pledge.

If we meet our goal you get the gifts you have chosen, and are charged on September 1st for your pledge. Anyone who pledges to get their preregistration is guaranteed a spot and will be registered regardless. If we do not meet our goal you will receive information on how to arrange your payment. 

We can make this event happen without the Kickstarter, but we wanted to promote through Kickstarter to try to raise additional funds that would otherwise be out-of-pocket for us. We also want to handle all of our pre-registration through the Kickstarter so that we can provide Sarah Seiter with an accurate number of dolls. She needs lead-time to produce the dolls and needs to know how many dolls to order well in advance. Sarah is providing us with a special doll following our "Year of the Dragon" sub-theme!
