Sleeping Cue in Rococo

Sleeping Cue in Rococo by alington
Sleeping Cue in Rococo, a photo by alington on Flickr.
Looking to add a little French Court to your BJD collection? Let me help.

I've just posted a FS/WTT post of Den of Angels for this amazing Rococo styled sack-back gown. You can see more photos on Flickr.

I'm asking $125 for the gown (single piece with zipper closure), and an additional $50 if you require the support hoop skirt (shown here), plus an adorable soft blonde DollHeart ponytail wig for just $35.

I can ship anywhere, though my best guess will be a flat rate priority box will be easiest.

Let me know if I can answer any questions for you.

LE Gowns available from Peak's Woods

The Glamour dress is available in blue (shown above) for $210 or also in a pink version for $225. You can add the shoes for $32.90. The gowns are created by Atelier Soda.

Both versions include:

  • Outer cotton silk gown
  • Cotton silk corset
  • Inner white cotton dress
  • Cotton silk dress
  • Cotton trousers
  • Pannier (to retain the shape of the dress)
  • Stockings
  • Ribbon choker (ribbon tied around the neck)
  • Gloves
These gowns were originally offered as part of limited edition dolls, and Peak's Woods has made them available again. At the time, I ordered tan Briana, but skipped the gown. Now that I see them again, however, I am reminded of their loveliness!

Additionally, check out some of the other gowns in stock. There are some great sale prices on some of them. New wigs are also available, and being offered at a discount for a limited time.

Mia de Butterfly

Mia de Butterfly by alington
Mia de Butterfly, a photo by alington on Flickr.
Even cuter in real life, Peak's Woods Mia de Butterfly has made her grand arrival! She's on a Fairy of Bugs body, which is mini size BJD, 42 cm.

My girl has a default face-up by Peak's Woods, white skin, and a large bust (still pretty girly). She is available for sale on Peak's Woods website.

Here, she is wearing DollHeart's Juana, and a wig, also by Juana.

You can see more photos on Flickr.

Fun with Photoshop

Rococo Sky by alington
Rococo Sky, a photo by alington on Flickr.
I've run an older photo of Sky (a lovely Peak's Woods Fairy of Color) through a few Topaz filters (Adjust and Star Effects) via Photoshop Elements, and I'm just having a blast.

You can add a little bling to your photos. This one has Waterdrops and Jewel Sparkle from the Star Effect plug in, and French Countryside coloring from the Adjust plug-in. They work with lots of available software--go check them out!

Rococo Alice

Lovely Skiya by Peak's Woods is modeling a one-of-a-kind outfit by Carol Peters. It's absolutely perfect! I need to take better photos, but I just couldn't wait to share a photo of her in my display after bringing the outfit home from Sunday's doll meet.

The outfit is done in a lovely French blue satin fabric, and includes many separate pieces:

  • separate bodice with lined lace, trimmed with bows and lace sleeves
  • satin bloomers
  • sheer black tulle underskirt trimmed with blue ribbon
  • apron
  • short blue half skirt shown here
  • additionally full-length long hooped skirt with lace trim at hem
  • lacey polkadot stockings with lace at the top
  • hair bow
You can switch Alice's skirt from the sheer tulle for a sexy Alice, to the short satin for a more traditional Alice, to the long hem for a French court look, without a skirt for dressing room lingerie. The separates also mix and match with other pieces I have in my collection for even more looks.

Skiya is wearing shoes and a wig by DollHeart, and eyes by Mint on Card. Isn't she just adorable?

Sneak peek of DollHeart Rococo items...

Chana LD-471, SD10/13 Girl, hat, choker, dress, long skirt, cage crinoline, eyeshade
What is up with those people over there? I swear, these people must be spying on me. I don't have price or dates yet, but I did find a couple of new items at the DollHeart website this morning:

Alycia LD-498, SD10/13 Girl, includes dress, choker, pin, long skirt and petticoat.
Additional selections have been added to the SD13 girl size:

Jen LD-460, includes hat, choker, dress, long skirt, eyeshade, cage crinoline, gloves, and garter belt with socks.
Trista LD-479, includes vest, top, petticoat, long skirt, hat, eyeshade, choker, sleeves, and garter belt with socks.
To my delight, there are new additions to the SD16 girl category as well. These fit my Super Gem bodied Peak's Woods girl.

Dianna GD-7, includes hat, choker, gloves, petticoat and dress.
Lorrain GD-8, includes hat, long skirt, one piece dress, cage crinoline, choker, garter belt with socks, gloves,  and cape.
I believe these two MSD-szied outfits are also part of the same collection.
Marcella MD-141, includes hat, collar, dress, long skirt, eyeshade, cage crinoline, and garter belt with socks.
Ireland MD-153, includes hat, top, gloves, collar, one-piece dress, and socks.
Then, I'm not sure if these YoSD items are part of this collection or not, but these are definitely Alice-related.
Queen of Hearts YD-122, includes nat, heck accessory, vest, hand accessory, knee skirt, cage crinoline, and silk stockings.
Cortez YD-103, includes top, coat, hat, necktie, belt, and pants.
Little Colonel YD-118, hat, coat, shirt, tie, pants, belt, and shawl.
