Nanuri, floating in a dream

Nanuri in Floating Dream

This is Nanuri Chicline (Fairyland, normal skin, large bust, faceup by 16-Bit Face-ups), modeling a new outfit by Integrity Toys. It's an outfit for Poppy Parker Fashion Teen, a 16" doll, aptly called Floating Dream. I think its unique retro feel is quite cute, and I love the stitching on the bust.

I almost couldn't get the separate belt hooked--it's very snug--but I did manage it. There are earrings included with the outfit as well. I personally think gloves would complete the look, but I wouldn't bother putting them on, to be honest. Just too much hassle!

Papana, the Player Slayer

Papana in Player Slayer

I have been looking for outfits that fit my new DD-Anne Fairygarden Papana, and I realized this slim mini girl is close to Tyler Wentworth in size. As I was redressing one of my fashion dolls, I figured I'd try this Integrity Toys Tulabelle 16" fashion on her. It's called Player Slayer.

The jeans barely hooked, but they do--and they are so cute, if a little long. The top is also a bit scoopy on her, but it works, especially with the fuzzy cape. It gives her such a different look! I think it's just adorable, and I can't wait to try additional IT fashions on her--I have a bunch for my Chicline girls.

She's wearing a YoSD sized DollHeart wig here.

New DollHeart release

There are lots of new goodies for preorder from DollHeart, available for preorder with an August delivery date, something for every BJD collector, I think!

I'm pleased to see the casual collection take off like this. Above, you can see Jacob and Sydney, sized for MSD and similar. They are available separately for $84.90 each or as a set for $169.90.

Above, sized for SD13 and DDM, you can see Shelby ($99.90) and Tyler ($129.90), sized for SD17 Boy/65cm Boys. You can also save a little when you purchase these two as a set for $219.90.

In the YoSD section, you can also preorder Andrew for $79.90.

And above, you can see Riley for $79.90. Many pieces of the outfits are available separately, too.

As part of the Rainbow Fairy series, Oona is sized for slim MSD and Unoa. It is truly adorable, a fairy a la DollHeart, $89.90.

Cirno is the YoSD size Rainbow fairy, and she's super cute in blue. Her outfit is $79.90. The other two fairies are sized for Azone Pure Neemo.

There is also a new style of outfit available, too--a fantasy cat, I'd call it. Burmese, sized for MSD boy (right) is $84.90. Burmilla, sized for MSD girl, is $84.90. You can save some in purchasing these as a set for $159.90. The outfits include overalls (for Burmese) and a dress (Burmilla) and all accessories, plus a tail, cat ear hat or headband, and paw gloves.

All photos are property of DollHeart.

Amethyst Factor - Chicline Chloe modeling

Amethyst Factor

Spring's FR:16 outfits by Integrity Toys have started to arrive, and the first two are here. Chicline Chloe (Fairyland, white skin) is modeling Amethyst Factor.

I've had Tulabelle and Tonner Doll Antoinette outfits on Chloe before with success, so I was hoping the same for FR:16. They are slightly curvier than Tulabelle. Sure enough--with a little struggle, I was able to get Chloe's hips into the dress and zip it up. (It has a zipper!) It is just a tiny bit big in the bust, as I expected.

The straps have a small ring in the back to hold the ribbon in place, and one of the ribbons came out of one of the rings. It was a real pain, but I managed to get the ribbon back into the ring (it's a tiny jump ring. It's still work that tiny detail, in my opinion.

Then, there's the gloves. With most dolls, I don't bother with gloves. They are just a huge source of frustration. But these are so pretty--sheer net with a lacey dot pattern. One hand (her left) went on perfectly. But the right... well, I was close to tears. But I was committed at that point. Take a sip of wine and move along. Eventually, it's there.

Amethyst Factor

The outfit includes this adorable clutch, with a sparkling embroidered pattern. The coolest part? It is held shut with a magnetic closure, and it actually opens! So cool. I am really impressed!

OK, and the shoes even fit. After the near-tears with the glove fiasco, I love it. It's gorgeous. The stole is black with a purple sheen. It's simply sexy and gorgeous--and it gives Chloe a beautiful new outfit.

Amethyst Factor

Treasure Dolls is the perfect place to order these outfits, as Evelyn will often offer splits: you can order only the outfit or only the nude doll. (FR:16 are sold as dressed dolls, and I usually prefer to have the outfit only.) This saves the time and effort to resell the doll, which is very convenient. Depending on how many requests she receives, however, the outfit or doll you want may not be available. And there's always eBay or the Dollpage for reselling.

Amethyst Factor retails for $135 as the dressed doll. I paid $75 for the outfit (including shipping), which I consider to be very reasonable for a fancy BJD outfit! I highly recommend this one.

Yeru: the quest for contemporary clothing

Yeru by alington
Yeru, a photo by alington on Flickr.
My quest for contemporary styles is going well, especially with my last (near excessive) Peak's Woods order. I used a 30% discount certificate, which caused some serious spending--three tiny tan dolls and lots of Nine9Style fashions.

I really love the styling of these clothes! They are well made, though not lined. I think the lack of lining makes them lay well on the BJD bodies, though.

The jeans--OMG--fabulous! Yeru is modeling them here. They including a front zip, stretch denim, working pockets (three or four in the front, and two in the back), belt loops, and real grommets. Also, real flat felled seams are used, and they aren't too thick.

The hoodie includes a matching tank top as well, and it's perfectly scaled--in fabric print and weight. Both are loose fit, so many different dolls could wear the outfit well.

I can't wait for more dolls to model these fabulous new outfits!
