Google+ BJDs for Beginners

About me

Peak's Woods Fairy of Color, Lavin.
Welcome to the Ball-Jointed Dolls for Beginners blog. This blog is a work-in-progress, and it's designed as an additional tool for the readers of my first book collaboration with Melissa Metheney. We thought there really wasn't a good book on the market for a new collector to get all the information he or she might want, in a single place. So we wrote one.

My name is Alison Rasmussen. I've been a BJD collector for some years now. I'm also the editor of the Fashion Doll Review blog, a mother of four young children, aged 6 through 12, a wife of nearly 15 years, and the owner of four cats. I collect other types of doll, too.

This blog is as supplement to the book. I'll start with posting the lists to the websites on here, and then hopefully add some video tutorials in addition to any new and changing techniques as I learn them.

Please feel free to post any comments or questions--I'll try to get back to you within a day or two. I hate to mention it, but I'm not exactly a serious person. So if I say something that sounds like it could be a joke, well--it might be.

Enjoy your visit!
