ChicLine Chloe is here!

After a short (hardly!) three-month wait, ChicLine Chloe has arrived. She's a gorgeous resin girl, and I ordered the full-set Bride of Darkness with a face-up on her sleeping faceplate. She is my first ChicLine, and only my second Fairyland doll, and she's quite amazing.

I've already misplaced her hand once--her hands and feet are attached to her body with magnets. I think the hand magnet could be a little stronger--since after looking everywhere in the house, I found it attached to one of the magnets in her back (in case I want to give her wings). I felt only a little stupid.

But other than that, I think she's perfect. She included a bustier, crown, veil, necklace and heels. I also received a pair of black pants with her as well, as a free gift. Additionally, she included two free faceplates--one looks to be LittleFee sized, and one is a ChicLine size--and I think these are the Nanuri faceplates, but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm finding it difficult to get anything done today, since I keep playing with her. I can't wait to do some redressing!

Skiya in Jennygrey

Skiya in Jennygrey by alington
Skiya in Jennygrey, a photo by alington on Flickr.
One of my gorgeous girls who doesn't get enough playtime--this is Skiya (white skin) FOC by Peak's Woods. This girl was a limited edition doll, released with a Sadol outfit (Raspberry) at Christmas time a few years ago.

Skiya was almost my first BJD, but I ended up going with Sky instead. Denver Doll had been a dealer, and they had both girls in stock. But I wanted the large bust and white skin--if I recall, Skiya had a small bust and normal skin.

She's absolutely amazing. I'm so glad I waited to get this girl. She's got super-soft facial screening and a near smile. She's probably my least crabby BJD.

She's wearing an outfit by Jennygrey, a Leeke wig, and glass eyes, which are some of my favorites. (Skiya doesn't want to share them, though!)

You can see more photos on Flickr.

ChicLine Chloe arrives today!

ChicLine Chloe, Bride of Darkness, should be coming today after a three-month wait. I'm very excited to meet her. It's been a long time since I had a Fairyland BJD in my collection, and I'm thrilled to have been able to order this girl.

I got the full set, in Beauty White skin, with a face-up on the sleeping face, too. When in Rome...

I hope to be posting photos of her tomorrow. I hear she might be able to wear some Tonner fashions, as well, which I'm really excited about.

Photos are property of Fairyland.

Kisha in DollHeart

Kisha in DollHeart by alington
Kisha in DollHeart, a photo by alington on Flickr.
A crabby bride? Meet Kisha, by Peak's Woods, on a Fairy of Color body. She's normal skin, and is wearing glass eyes in Clover by Mint on Card.

Her lovely outfit is called Vampire Wedding, and it's by DollHeart.

You can see more photos of this pouty bride on Flickr.
Photo Property of SoomMy friend Melissa has her Soom Cuprit up for sale. Here's her post!

I know, I know...

I am absolutely bat-poop out of my mind with the sales.

My doll collection is in constant flux, and this time one of my beautiful Soom Monthlies is on the chopping block.

If you are interested in obtaining this rare gem, she is listed at a ridiculous price over on Ebay.

She originally cost over $1000 - the auction has NO RESERVE and a low Buy-It-Now!

If you are interested in adopting Cuprit, please take a look at her auction!

Rogita in DollHeart

Rogita in DollHeart by alington

Lofty Pink is one of my all-time favorite outfits from DollHeart. It's an early one, and can be difficult to find, but it's worth the search.

My model is Peak's Woods Rogita (AB Femme) in normal skin. She's wearing her default glass eyes and a Monique wig.

Peak's Woods Wake-Up Lottie is trying out a new wig. I love this grumpy girl's pouty face. She's just so cute.

She's dressed in a DollHeart outfit.

Moonlight Waltz

Moonlight Waltz by alington
Moonlight Waltz, a photo by alington on Flickr.
Tonner Doll's new Moonlight Waltz (for their line of vinyl 22" American Model dolls) has arrived, and Rogita Blossom (Peak's Woods) loves her new look.

The outfit is a perfect fit--no alterations were necessary to put it on her Absolute Beauty body. Sometimes the sleeves are a little narrow for the BJD's hands in American Model outfits. With another outfit, if I recall, I had to open the back seam to fit her hips through. But Moonlight Waltz is a perfect fit.

It's very well made--the ruffles and details on the hips and the skirt are just amazing, and the one-shoulder design is lovely, too.

The included wig is sized closer to 7/8, so this size doll can't wear it (but MSD sized dolls should be able to). Plus the shoes are small, and I haven't tried the gloves--though I assume they will be a little narrow for her hands.

Check out Flickr for more photos.

Two new Utopia tan dolls from Peak's Woods

Bella the Moon - Utopia Revolution SideA

Wow--Peak's Woods has announced the release of two new tan dolls for the Dolltopia convention.

Bella the Moon - Utopia Revolution SideA - notice her mouth is painted closed--OMG!

and
Redesigned Lottie - Utopia Revolution SideB
Redesigned Lottie - Utopia Revolution SideB - Did you miss her the first time around? (I did!)

Bella's outfit
Full set outfit is designed by Corona for the normal bust size. Bella's includes pants, blouse, choker, gloves, belt and long cape.

Lottie's outfit

Lottie's outfit is a little different and includes shorts, a sleeveless top, brooch, long gloves, belt, train and a hood. (The first two outfits created for AB dolls (Kisha and Rogita) were designed by Corona, and they remain my top favorites and far as fit, quality and attention to detail. In fact--I might ask if they'd consider selling the outfit alone!)

The outfit adds $221, boots are $36, and make-up will add $80. You have your choice of A or B Absoulte Beauty double-jointed body (tan!) and either normal or small bust. No price has been added for the dolls yet, but they are usually a little more to pour than regular dolls when tan.

The dolls are limited to only 20 each, and the ordering period is March 22 through April 22 (or till the dolls have sold out), and will be offered with a 5% discount during the first week, March 22 through March 28.

Dolls include random glass eyes, special hands, extra heel feet, random wig, box, CoA, cushions and box.

Also, shipping costs will apply only to the doll, and the remaining items will be shipped for free.

This time--if you're choosing lay-away, Peak's Woods is asking for at least $100 down, or $100+the entire cost of the outfit ($321) if you're ordering an outfit. Shipment will be about 50-60 days.

Additionally, if you will be attending Dolltopia, check out this list. Peak's Woods will be offering their dolls at 10% off in stock dolls, offer free shipping to Korea and Thailand, and 5% off all pre-orders. Plus, you will be able to see the first ball-jointed versions of the Monthly Fairies--all twelve. (Someone better take photos for me!) :)

Little Metel

Little Metel by alington
Little Metel, a photo by alington on Flickr.
These tiny BJDs keep appearing at my house! Meet SoulDoll Little Metel. She stands about 10.5", and can wear Barbie fashions--like she is here. She's wearing Dreamy Duo #3450 from 1972, and a Monique wig.

My girl is a little kicky--I think she needs both sueding and possibly wiring to keep her legs in place, but she's super cute. I'm just in love with this little tiny size.

Unfortunately, Souldoll isn't making this size anymore, so you have to find these girls on the secondary market. For a while, they were available double-jointed as well. (I think I need one!)

Honey Queen Yeru has finally gotten herself a new look--it's a Cristy Stone DollHeart collaboration, including an outfit, wig and shoes.

Yeru is a Fairy of Color limited edition BJD from Peak's Woods in tan skin. She's wearing her default crystal acrylic eyes. See a few additional photos on Flickr.

Sara and Mari

Again, with the tiny dollies: Sara, white skin, (left) is dressed in Jennygrey with a Barbie Basics belt, jewels by Facets by Marcia. Mari, tan resin, is showing off vintage Francie's #1222 Gold Rush from Mattel.

Both dolls are Limhwa To You BJDs from Korea. I found Sara previously loved on the DollPage and the other from Junkyspot, who keeps some in stock--perfect for impulse buys and the impatient (like me!). They are only 10.5" tall, and so cute.

You can see more photos on Flickr.

Sky in Akiva

Sky in Akiva by alington
Sky in Akiva, a photo by alington on Flickr.
The girl who started it all for me--it's Peak's Woods Sky (white skin). As I recall, at the time, Denver Doll Emporium had her in stock, and I was deciding between Skiya and Sky. I chose Sky because of Val Zeitler's Marie Antoinette exclusive, recently featured in Haute Doll. I'm so glad I did! (I have since added Skiya to my collection, as well.)

Sky has had a new face-up by Leah Lilly, and she's wearing a wig by Michele Hardy and glass eyes from Mint on Card. Her outfit is called Akiva by DollHeart. You can see a few more photos on Flickr.

Sonja in Creepy Cupcakes

Sonja in Creepy Cupcakes by alington
Sonja in Creepy Cupcakes, a photo by alington on Flickr.
I've been on an outfit shopping spree lately, and I'm so excited to have have added Creepy Cupakes, an older Val Zeitler Haute Doll exclusive Dollheart exclusive to my collection. This outfit was a limited edition created for the Bootiful collection around Halloween.

The model is Sonja, a white skin Peak's Woods Wake-Up Goldie with a Val Zeitler face up, also an Haute Doll exclusive. I think she's the perfect model.

You can see a few more photos on Flickr.

I have to keep in mind how much fun redressing and restyling BJDs are--I mean, playing and restyling is one of the main attractions about these dolls. It's a great way to liven up your collection, quickly, in an affordable way.

Rogita in DollHeart

Rogita by alington
Rogita, a photo by alington on Flickr.
I need to redress my dolls more--and I always say I have to take more photos. I love doll photography!

This is Peak's Woods Rogita (Absolute Beauty) dressed in a new-to-me gown called Valentine by DollHeart. She's wearing a Leeke wig, which is quite a pretty color for her.

See more photos on Flickr.

Sara

Sara by alington
Sara, a photo by alington on Flickr.
More of little Sara To You by Limhwa--here, she's dressed in a Barbie skirt, and jewels by Facets by Marcia.

This little girl is such a fun doll. So much fun that I may have actually ordered her a little friend from Junkyspot.

I am such a bad BJD collector--you just should not be impatient! Those in-stock dealers are what kill you! But oh, the gratification!

See a few more photos on Flickr. Do you like our new laminate flooring?
