Oh my goodness, what's a collector to do? I have to confess, I have been having a few sleepless nights and even nightmares after the latest Peak's Woods update. In one recurring theme, I watch my wonderful tan Briana fall on the floor from a high shelf, and watch her nose chip. Of course, after next month, basic Fairies of Color won't be offered for sale. And while I certainly understand the necessity to limit the number of sculpts a company offers at any given time to combine and group orders, I will be sad!
I'd love to add Wake-Up Cue, Yulli, and Vamp Briana to my collection, but I can't see that I'll be able to do this before the end of next month. Perhaps I might be able to choose just one or two more dolls--and possibly buy a blank head--instead. I currently only have Vamp Goldie on order, and I'm very excited about adding her to my collection.
I suppose I should just wait to see what the specials will be--but what if they add new faces? What will I do then?

New dolls from Peak's Woods - and change in basic dolls
![]() |
| Dandy Shaia |
They go on sale February 15-28, 2015, and start at $590. Upgrade to suntan or blue-grey skin for another $80. Faceups are $90, and hand blushing and nail painting is available (natural or black) for $35. Basic dolls are 61cm tall (very close to SD13 long leg size), and include a pair of glass eyes, cotton cushions and certificate of authenticity.

![]() |
| Dandy Lavin |
![]() |
| Dandy Briana |
Additionally, the four original Dandy boys will also be available at the same time (in normal or white skin). These sculpts include:
After February 28, the boys will only be offered as limited edition dolls on occasional release, and basic dolls will not be available. Peak's Woods' update mentions that this is the last release of the original Dandy boys. This change should help increase shipping times, as they will only be offering particular sculpts at specific times.
Next month, there will be a special event for the large girls (both FOB and AB) as well. Heads won't be offered separately, after this ordering period. For now, though, heads can still be purchased, but without a makeup option.
Finally, the selection of Oscar Eyes has been updated as well.
You can read Peak's Woods' update here. Photos are property of Peak's Woods.

New Alice in Wickedland limited editions from Peak's Woods!
I love me an Alice in Wonderland-themed doll--it's what got me so enthralled in BJDs in the first place--and Peak's Woods has a delicious offering for Halloween!
Three full sets are available, and are also being offered as basics. Each doll is being offered in normal, white, and for an extra charge ($80) blue-grey or suntan
The White Rabbit uses the Dandy Tristan boy sculpt (he is their new large boy size and he is adorable!). His outfit includes a long sleeved shirt, vest, attached hood, pants, belt, scarf, stockings, fur wig modified with rabbit ears, tail, brooch, clock pendant, and pocket watch. The outfit is $139.
The basic version of the boy dolls includes random glass eyes, cotton cushions, and a certificate of authenticity. The price for the basic boys starts at $590.
Alice in Wickedland use the new FOC Tristan face sculpt, and she is just gorgeous. I think her face-up is amazing. Her adorable outfit is $129, and it includes a cream sleeveless dress, blue short-sleeved dress, bloomers, crinoline, stockings, ribbon, and two necklaces with pendants.
The basic version of FOC Tristan includes a default wig (blonde and wavy), random glass eyes, cotton cushions and a certificate of authenticity. It looks like she's been added to the permanent collection, too. She starts at $550.
Limited edition face-ups are $80, and the boys are painted by Nornen, Alice by KyungMin Lee. You can add hand blushing and painting for an additional $30. Jewel eyes are available for an additional $35.
I just ordered Dandy Tristan and Elf Tristan--but I so adore Peak's Woods suntan dolls. I am very, very tempted by The Mad Hatter. I have been thinking of adding another boy to my hoard... but I have to just sit on my hands!

Limited edition Peak's Woods Segi has arrived!

She's here! And she's even more lovely in person than her promo photos. It's Peak's Woods limited edition Segi. I'm just thrilled. I was excited to wake up to the postal carrier this Saturday morning, who delivered her--along with her cohort, Dandy Tristan!--in a huge box.
You can see more photos of her on Flickr. Plus, I've also posted photos of her deboxing here, too.

New LE Fairy of Color Dlight and Wake Up Dlight from Peak's Woods
![]() |
| Dlight - LE FoC from Peak's Woods |
![]() |
| Wake-Up Dlight - LE FoC from Peak's Woods |
- Dlight and
- Wake up Dlight
Both are available starting at $550 in normal or white skin. Dolls include a random wig, random color of 16mm glass eyes, 1 pair of cotton cushions, and a certificate of authenticity. (The outfits aren't available.) The dolls have the following additional options:
- suntan, tropical tan, diamond grey, or grey skin - +$80
- limited edition face-up - +$80
- limited edition resin handmade eyes Oskar Jewel Wake up Dlight +$35, and Dlight Enchanted Doll Milky +$50
- special hand and nail parts +$30 for colored resin, +$25 for normal and white skin
- hand blushing and nail art in coral or black +$40
- heel feet +$30 for colored resin and $25 for normal or white skin
These are limited edition sculpts and won't be offered after August 31, 2014. (These won't be offered as a basic.) They are being sold with a normal bust and a split thigh. Layaway is available, but orders placed cannot be cancelled. Deposit for layaway must be at least $200 for any colored resin option (this is a new thing from regular layaway).
You can upgrade your doll to the AB Femme body for an additional $40, but only white or normal skin is available. (I'd suggest you check out Rogita and Rogita Blossom before you do this--I think these girls might be scaled down versions with special face-ups, and Rogita is a pretty good match for a taller doll.)
For all the details, check out Peak's Woods announcement.

New Pinocchio LEs from Peak's Woods!
Oh my--if you're inspired by Peak's Woods tiny Fairy of Fairytales dolls, check out July's special limited edition--Pinocchio! Important info from Peak's Woods first:
- LE FOF Pinocchio_Human version in Blue-grey, Suntan, Normal, White skin
- LE FOF Pinocchio_Marionette version in Blue-grey, Suntan, Normal, White skin
Ordering Period : July 1 ~ July 31. 2014 (Layaway Available)
Two face up options are available.
Full-set purchase offers a $30 discount.
FOF Pinocchio will not be released as a Basic.
For both dolls, you may choose from the following options:
- boy or girl body
- normal, white, suntan (shown on human boy) $50, or gray skin (shown on marionette) $50
- no make-up, human boy makeup $70, or marionette makeup $80
- outfit--hat, shirt, suspender shorts (I think these are one piece), bow tie, socks) $78
- handmade resin jewel eyes by Oscar in pink green or aqua blue $35
- shoes $20
- all the accessories: add full set (wig, jewel eyes, outfit and shoes) $118 (saves $30)
Basic doll alone includes the assembled doll, an extra pair of hands, a pair of cotton cushions, certificate of authenticity, and box.
Interestingly, I don't see where you purchase the wig a la carte. I'm guessing the wigs are regular stock and can be found here:
- Human boy is wearing FOF Wig_Royal Cut-Dark Chocolate $15
- Thought it's currently sold out, I think marionette might be wearing some similar to FOF/YoSD PW Wig P-09, though probably in color F4--the heat resistant platinum shade, and style differently. This one is $27.
At any rate--I'm delighted to see new limited edition tinies--and these guys are so sweet. I love how daring and goth the marionette is. The eyes certainly add that extra spooky touch! And I also love that the human boy has a lovely smile. You hardly ever see happy BJDs that don't look creepy--and this guy is adorable with that smile. And tan. Will I be able to resist? Hmm.
(Did you catch my little joke there?)

New! Segi twins from Peak's Woods!
Sculpted by KyungMin Lee, with limited edition make-up (including freckles!) by Dhar, there ae two new dolls coming soon!
First is the FoC Segi Twin, girl version. While I adore her red wig and bright blue eyes, it looks like she actually includes a random wig and eyes. You can choose her skin color (white or normal), and bust size (normal or small).
The base price of $567 includes a face-up, and is available May 21-31, when you pay in full. The discount isn't offered when you use lay-away.
After June 1-June 10 (or with lay-away), her base price is $620.
Special hands and feet are an additional $25 per pair.
The uniform adds $159, and includes a jacket, V-neck sweater, lined shirt, skirt, crest, bow tie, and black knee socks. Shoes are not included.
Next, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the second FoC Twin Segi is a boy! He uses the new Dandy body, and you choose normal or white skin. He includes a random wig and eyes, too.
The base price of $603 includes a face-up, also with freckles, and is available May 21-31, when you pay in full. The discount isn't offered when you use lay-away. (Interestingly--his face-up doesn't include eyelashes. I didn't even notice he didn't have on eyelashes at the show.)
After June 1-June 10 (or with lay-away), his base price is $670.
The uniform adds $148, and includes a jacket, V-neck vest, basic shirt, trousers, crest, and necktie. Shoes are not included.
His height is 61cm, with measurements following soon.

Cue - my latest addition
Another day, another doll... just kidding!
I'm so pleased to announce the arrival of Cue (and Mintie, too), by Peak's Woods. They use the new Lolita body, which has new double-jointed elbows and beautifully sculpted hands. Even with the new articulation (Cue has a large bust and mobility thigh, Mintie has straight legs and normal bust), both dolls still have the best stability, and can stand solidly, right out of the box.
I think I see my budget going down the drain--right before my eyes. I will have to upgrade my other dolls when the body is available again. It's really fantastic.
See more photos on Flickr.

Why you need to attend the KBJD Show!
Back to the 1920s: It's the loveliest Yeru the Soul LE yet! She's simply stunning in a white gown by Corona, and face up by Peak's Woods Dhar. I notice she includes special long fingernail hand parts (with a manicure--check out her photos, since they are just too cute!), high heels, the outfit (dress, layered inner skirt, gloves, hairband, necklace and stockings), shoes, glass eyes, box (of course) and that adorable wig.
Sweet Barista Special: From the left, Sir Tin, Hucky, Leo and Rabbit Goon make up the Fairies of Fairytales group. Their outfits are also by Corona, and it looks like there is only one set available. The dolls are tan (!!) versions, with limited face-ups by KyungMin Lee (the sculptor), and include glass eyes, extra hands, wigs, shoes, and a box.
I'm not sure about how these dolls will be sold--or if they may be raffled off as centerpiece dolls. However, the Platinum registration at the KBJD Show includes raffle tickets! I'm so in.

Peak's Woods Winter special continued...
Check out the latest update in the Winter Event from Peak's Woods here. Not only has the gorgeous Sleeping Cue limited edition been posted to the website, but she is now part of the regular line as well. Above, you can see her regular, anything-but-basic make-up. She's simply enchanting.
To refresh your memory--the Fairy of Color body has been updated to a new double-jointed Lolita body. You can see photos of it here. It can be ordered with a split thigh or without, and extra posing hands (+$25) and heel feet (+$60) are available separately.
Goldie has renewed basic makeup. She's adorable!
When you purchase any FOC doll, you may choose one of the following six free heads in the same skin tone for free:

Peak's Woods event: Sleeping Cue Limited Edition
A sneak peek of Peak's Woods limited edition Sleeping Cue has been posted on the index page--and she goes on sale December 16.
Don't forget about the current special--get a free FOF head with any FOF doll, through December 15 only. Then, starting on December 16 through the end of the month, when you purchase a full FOC doll, you can get a free FOC head (Lavin, Lottie, Sky, Cue, Mintie or Shaia) with your order.
See the Peak's Woods website for details.
And wow--I've just noticed there has been a price drop in the FOC dolls--from $580 to $550. (The prices were usually listed at $550 with a 10% discount, but this discount has now become permanent.) Additionally, make-up for the AB dolls has been lowered from $70 to $60 as well.

Jessica Pierrot EID
**Update** She has been sold!
Are you looking to add Iplehouse EID Jessica to your collection at an affordable price? You may be able to find the perfect one on the secondary market from Jan. You can see lots of beautiful photos of this limited edition doll, Jessica Pierrot from 2009, on her website here.
For $550 (shipping and insurance is additional), you will receive the nude, normal skin (large bust, general type non-mobility thigh) doll with the company face-up, an additional set of hands, high-heel feet, extra elastic, including two Iplehouse wigs (blonde and brunette), and three pairs of 12mm eyes (green, blue and brown). She includes her original box and certificate of authenticity, and the seller is her original owner. (You can rest assured you're getting an actual Iplehouse, and not a recast.)
According to her seller, originally, this doll sold for $846. She was one of the original dolls in the Noctarcana Circus collection. You can see her page here.
This doll uses the first EID body, and looking at her photos, she has a very even skin tone with no visible yellowing. She is in incredible condition. She's lovely!
Because she is so heavy, her owner would like to ship her within the US only.
I have to confess, Jessica has never been on my wish list before--but this girl is really amazing. And this price is such a steal! Someone should pick her up. She's an incredible doll, and really, one of the first limited edition dolls that helped put Iplehouse on the map. (Plus, if you buy her, then I won't be tempted, LOL!)
Photo belongs to Jan Carmen.

The Addiction: Bloody Tales of Castle Bran - Lisa
Eeeeek! Coming soon from Iplehouse! It's a new character, Lisa. She's actually the 35 cm KID size. I've been wanting to add one of these girls to my collection for a long time, and now, I think I've found the perfect excuse!
According to the Iplehouse message board (you'll have to set up a free account and log on to read the full message), this character is inspired by Claudia, played by Kirsten Dunst in the film, Interview with the Vampire. According to Daniel Yoon, her designer, Lisa needed to "have some dark feeling" as well be cute.
Her outfit will be made of taffeta and lace, and will include a little red in addition to black. She will also include wings, similar to the current Addiction series character, Claude.
She should be released soon. Since Claude's pre-order period ends September 22, my guess is that Lisa should go on sale around that time. I'll keep you posted!
