Shooting Star in MegannArt

Shooting Star

Another precious tiny new arrival is Shooting Star (in limited edition suntan resin), a Monthly Fairy by Peak's Woods. She's dressed in a perfect little dress by MegannArt and a wig from Peak's Woods. I simply adore these little fairies--her winking face is quite mischievous!

  1. I've just found your great bjd blog (sorry for my poor English!), so I'd like to ask you a question (sorry again - I'm asking here, not under theme about fabrics & stains because for some reason I'm unable to post it there...) I'd be very grateful if you could answer me a question about this Nine9Style shirt: http://www.nine9style.com/shop/step1.php?number=10897&b_code=B20110123011527&c_code=C20110123011711 I'd like to order it but I'm always very careful with dressing my dolls in dark clothes... but, truly, I have no idea - is this light blue shirt "dangerous" for my doll? Is this possible this light blue fabric could stain resin? Or is this colour rather safe if I'd like to dress my bjd in this shirt for a really long time?
    Thank you <3

    1. Hi Wiktoria,

I don't own this particular shirt, so I can't comment on it, specifically. However, I can tell you I own several others by nine9style in a similar shade, and none have stained.

Usually, it's darker colors that stain--navy blue, black, brown and red. You can often set the fabric with vinegar and/or salt water--but I usually don't worry about staining a doll's body. Resin is easily wiped clean with magic eraser, and any body blushing can be touched up pretty easily with pastels.

But if you're really worried about stains, I'd stick to white and cream, just to be safe.

      Hope this helps a little!
