Even cuter in real life, Peak's Woods Mia de Butterfly has made her grand arrival! She's on a Fairy of Bugs body, which is mini size BJD, 42 cm.

My girl has a default face-up by Peak's Woods, white skin, and a large bust (still pretty girly). She is available for sale on Peak's Woods website.

Here, she is wearing DollHeart's Juana, and a wig, also by Juana.

Shhh! It's the Blue Bride by Peak's Woods. If you follow my blog, you'll know I've been waiting for-like-EVER to add a sleeping Peak's Woods girl to my collection--and oh my! I'm so happy and thrilled with Cue.

She's amazing. You can see a few more photos of her on Flickr.

Here, she is dressed in a limited edition Dollheart called Vampire Wedding, offered with a tanned Goldie several years ago.

You can still order Sleeping Cue from Peak's Woods. You'll just feel all at peace when you see your new girl! (If completely closed eyes aren't for you, you might check out Wake-Up Cue or Cue instead!)

Raspberry by Asella of Noble Dolls

JpopDoll.net is thrilled (and so am I) to welcome French doll artist Asella of Noble Dolls to its line of produced resin BJDs, and she is simple lovely. Preorders are open through June 24 for this highly sought after beauty Raspberry--Asella's first handcast doll--with a September/October delivery.

She stands 40cm tall, and she has just a fantastic body shape with really neat elbow joints.

She is available as a blank doll for $495, with a face-up for $525, and with a face-up and body blushing for $570.

If I can ever get the file uploaded and working properly--this book is on its way to draft form--as of yesterday. I'm also hoping to debut this book in digital format as well. I'll keep you posted.

It's more eye candy and fandom than a how-to, so even if you're not a BJD fan, you might like it.

Leekeworld to discontinue sales of Basic dolls

The Korean BJD manufacturer Leekworld has made a rather drastic announcement to discontinue the production of its basic dolls, beginning this month, June 2012.

Leeke is apparently going the route of preorders and limited edition full-set dolls--along the likes of Rosenlied and Soom. Here is the schedule:

June 7: Orient Doll, DollLeeke-S, DollLeeke-C, DollLeeke-K will stop production.

June 14: DollLeeke-H, DollLeeke-N will stop production.

June 21: DollLeeke-D, DollLeeke-A will stop production.

June 28: DollLeeke-M, DollLeeke-L will stop production.

June 29: Leekeworld 8th Anniversary begins: New Limited dolls and new items are planned for this event.

I am curious to see how this will effect Leekeworld dealers. I would assume this means they are probably at least reducing (if not entirely eliminating) their dealers at this point, like so many other manufacturers have done in the past.

Also, I've always liked the Ojallin and Mabel sculpts--I probably should consider at least one this month!

Available now from Dollmore, two new gorgeous and huge (79 cm or about 31") Dahlia Lusion BJDs are available to order.

First--a dreaming eyed Somnambulinsomnia Dahlia, a sleepwalking full set, is available for $1750. She's limited to just 10 pieces, and is available in normal skin only.

This gorgeous girl is also now available in an elf sculpt, and is called Somnambulinsomnia Elf Dahlia. She is limited to 30 pieces, and retails for $1850.

I've always been enchanted by this gorgeous sculpt, but I don't think I could sneak in a doll quite this size!
